Red Balloon 2

Not all new designs make the cut and this is one of those. She's too cute to be a called a reject, but she simply didn't fill the need in the collection. I was aiming for a chic lady that would meet the needs of birthdays and other general celebrations with a darker skin tone. I opted to include "Olivia" as both a notecard and greeting card instead! She's also available as a luggage tag

For now, this one will sit in the archives.

Also, I just added new PRINTS, so check them out!

The Spring Collection

It's the moment you've been waiting for...

The Spring Collection is here!!

With everything from expanded bridal & baby categories to new luggage tags and greeting cards, there's something for everyone! We even added a graduation WINKS for the perfect grad gift. My personal favorite is the new "Hats" notepad - it's ideal for everyday list-making.

Happy Spring!

Happy Easter

I got a little carried away with Easter eggs earlier this week. While I started by dying a handful, I eventually gave up and switched to the old faithful Sharpie method.

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter!

Be sure to tune in Monday for a special announcement!

Where in the World is BFP: Boston

I had the privilege of spending a few days in Boston over the weekend. It was my first trip there, and a return visit must be planned. From the legendary Fenway Park to the grounds of Harvard, #whereintheworldisBFP covered some ground, but I'm sure some high points were missed.

Brittany Fuson x Off Air by Giuliana

You saw me post about this on instagram, you saw Giuliana post about it, and I'm finally getting around to sharing the details....

I recently worked with Giuliana Rancic, HSN, and Tiger J to produce three t-shirt designs for Giuliana's Off Air collection for HSN. With so many parties involved, there were many rounds of proofs and many levels of approval to get through before we came to these final designs. It was collaborative on all fronts, and I think the final three are perfect for the all American girl. Throw one on with your favorite boyfriend jeans, wear it on your way to the gym - no matter what you pair it with, it's soft, comfortable and chic at the same time.

The best news? There are still limited sizes available here

*A note on the fit: they are a generous, boxy fit. I'm wearing a size M. It has a wide boat-neck and the material is
incredibly soft (95% Rayon, 5% Spandex).

How did it all come about?

I had the privilege of flying to LA about a year ago for a private event with HSN & Giuliana Rancic. I took a shot in the dark after an award show by mailing her and her glam squad a copy of this illustration (it was literally addressed to E News, Attn: Giuliana Rancic - it worked). Flash forward to February 2015, I get an email asking if I can be in LA in two weeks from the PR team organizing the event. Next thing I know, I'm hopping on a plane to LA.

The event was truly special as it was a first for me - a first live illustrating at an event (definitely a first illustrating in front of celebrities), a first meeting with the HSN team (and G, of course), a first getting stuck in sunny LA while my hometown of Nashville was getting pounded with a snow storm. It was all around a trip I will not forget.

The biggest takeaway from that event was the partnership that developed between me, Giuliana and the HSN team. We have since teamed up to produce a first round of 3 shirt designs with a couple more projects to come in the near future that I can't wait to share!

Brittany Fuson x Daniel Wellington

Catherine Truman Photography  |  phone cases available here

I'm thrilled to team up with Daniel Wellington for today's post. As a collector of watches, I have been wanting a classic DW for quite some time. It has a "I'm wearing my boyfriend's watch" feel (or dad - I've "borrowed" a few watches from dear old dad). It's effortless and needs no further introduction.
You've seen it on every blogger around. It is being called "the hottest watch of 2016" and I couldn't agree more. BUT, here's where it gets good: we've got an exclusive discount code for you. So, if you've been wanting one for yourself or are looking for the perfect gift (for him or her), look no further.

It's as easy as 1 - 2 - 3:

1. Head to www.danielwellington.com

2. Pick your watch (I'm wearing the Classic Sheffield 40mm)

3. Enter code BRITTANYFUSON in the checkout process to receive 15% off your watch!
The code is valid through April 30th, so think in advance
(Father's Day is right around the corner and so is graduation, etc).

Book Club: February in review

Who did their homework? Who read along with me?

Let me start with this: I picked Z because The Great Gatsby is one of my favorite books. I had to read it in high school, but I've since re-read it (twice) and seen both versions of the movie. I've long had a fascination with the '20s, flappers, and everything that time period represented. Change the setting to Paris in the 1920's and you've got my attention.

Here's what I liked about the book:

The chapters are short so it's easy to pick up for a few minutes with a clear stopping point. The writing is quick, witty and easy to understand. I found myself getting a little lost in the long list of supporting characters and the numerous characters named "Sara", but overall it was everything I had hoped it to be with quite the somber ending.

I became even more fascinated with the Fitzgerald's story. While I'm sure it's exaggerated in parts, to imagine living the way they actually did - my liver would've quit by age 28. I had a hard time getting into the story, but once I was about half-way through, I couldn't put it down. The downward spiral of not only their lives but also their careers proved to be more fascinating than the blissful romance in Part 1.

What did you think? What were your favorite parts?

If you loved Z, try reading:
The Great Gatsby and/or The Paris Wife

Also, try watching:

I feel like this group of ladies should be the patron saints of books clubs worldwide. I imagine them sitting around the table playing Bridge, drinking wine, talking about books and sudoku. I hope to be as cool as them one day....

We're switching gears in a big way this month. Since most will be traveling for Spring Break (or just a quick Spring get-away), I've picked two options that both make great beach reads.

I'm about a year late in picking up a copy of #GirlBoss and can't wait for a kick of motivation. If that doesn't strike your fancy, I'm also tackling Me Before You (not only have I heard great things about it, but have you seen the movie trailer? I'm already hooked). Pick up one or both and read along with me this month!

Also, leave a comment below of your favorite reads and ideas for next month's book club.

Milan

You've heard me say it before, and I'll say it again...

Every now and then there's a design that just doesn't work. The proportions are off, the wind direction is off, the legs look weird, I could go on and on. This is one of those designs. She was really really cute in my head, but it simply didn't translate on paper. Not to worry - she has been replaced by a  much cuter version of herself! The new collection is launching very very soon and I can't wait to share it with you!

In the meantime, RIP Ms. Milan...

I'm thrilled to share a custom project I did for Tiffany of Blog Called Jacq. We created this illustration from one of her favorite photos taken with her beloved pooch...

Bella

When I saw this dress, I kind of fell in love. How sweet is it? Perfect for a wedding or something else that requires cocktail attire this time of year. Plus, it's very reminiscent of Chrissy Teigen's Oscar gown
