I worked with them on a new product launch a while back, and 

here are three of the influencers that received not only some serious 

Drybar swag, but also a custom illustration by yours truly!

clear the schedule! I mean, literally, I think it's the sweetest thing when a guy is 

requesting an illustration for his significant other, so the answer is always yes!

It's been dubbed "summer water" and I couldn't be a bigger fan of both the term

and the item. I'm talking about rose, and though it's only 1:45pm here, I could use

The temperature dropped below 90 yesterday and everyone freaked out. 

I must remind you people sitting in the Starbuck's drive-thru, it is still, in fact, 

summer. Fall is a short distance away, but for now, let's enjoy the bright colors, 

fully ripened fruit, and days where the sun doesn't set until 8pm. 

Spark Joy

Have you heard about The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up? 

Surely you have, and if you haven't I urge you to pick up a copy of it and it's sequel, Spark Joy.

Your life will be changed, I promise. While I like to think my closet is quite organized, in the midst of implementing the KonMarie method, I came across a handful of items I had completely forgotten about. Buy it. Read it. And prepare to be amazed. The folding methods alone are enough to make you jump for joy. My drawers have never looked so pretty when I open them. My tanks are finally lined up so I can see all of them at a glance (which made me realize I have about 10 black and 10 white tanks - half of them went to Goodwill). 

I hope your life is changed and your life is filled with joy again! 

This is me carefully examining a dress with the tags on it. I've never worn it and after trying it on, I realized it's entirely too short. It went to the Goodwill pile as well. The pink Uggs were a toss while the cowboy boots were a keep. 

How to Work From Home

Working from home has it's perks, but it can also be tough getting motivated on

those early Monday mornings. With no one to report to, it's up to you to get the job done!

I've discovered that a chic but clean workspace does the trick. Keep it simple so you're

not easily distracted by cute (but semi-pointless) decorative objects. Everything on my

desk serves a purpose which helps keep the clutter to a minimum.

While this isn't an exact representation of my desk situation, it has elements of my actual

desk and workspace. See this article by Domino for more home office inspo. 

I also saw this on Damsel in Dior's Snapchat (of all places): even if you're working from
home, throw on a pair of heels for a conference call. It makes you feel more
official, I promise.

Last night it was all about the Simones at the summer Olympics. Simone Biles 

killed it in the gymnastics arena taking her first Olympic gold. Meanwhile in the pool, 

Simone Manuel became the first African American woman to win an individual event

in Olympic swimming. This is what the Olympics are all about. 

Congrats to these two!! 

Who shed a tear while watching? Anyone? Or was it just me?

Is anyone else counting down the hours until tonight's Gymnastics team finals? 

It's my favorite event of the Olympics, so I can't wait to see these five take the

gold. Go Team USA!

Also, is anyone else routing for a throwback to the '96 leotards? They were

my favorite.

Courtney Kerr. Once this illustration was complete, I couldn't help but think 

it's a dead-ringer for Courtney herself.

How to Transition White Jeans to Fall

It's August. It's still blazing hot outside, but I'm already craving fall more than ever.

White jeans seem to be a fan favorite, especially in the south. It's a staple of summer. 

However, people often store them after Labor Day only to remove them the following

Memorial Day. Y'all, those days are over. White jeans are a year-round must-have. 

Wear them now with your favorite breezy summer tops. Change the top for a chunky

sweater for fall. It's a win-win.
