Belt Bag
Ok, so let's talk about belt bags, aka fanny packs.
Thoughts?
I was such a hater for a while but have kind of changed my
tune in recent weeks. Yes, this Gucci belt bag is the ultimate
in chic fanny packs, but let's be serious.... the steep price tag
is less than ideal. While I find this to be a trend (aka, short lived),
it's one that I'm willing to try for its practicality. However, I'm
more in the let's buy a cheap one to see how this goes mindset.
So, I found a few options on Amazon (all under $30) and a couple
on Nordstrom that are all worth a shot. If I wear it once, it won't
feel like a total waste of money.

Side by Side
Finally, they're calling for a little bit of snow where I am.
However, I'm heading south for the weekend so I'm going
to miss it! This is what I've been waiting for and I'll be gone
when the fluffy white stuff arrives. Bummer.

Suits
Is anyone else fascinated by Meghan Markle and Prince
Harry? Fascinated might be too strong of a word.... interested
is more like it. I'm interested in everything they do, everything
she wears, every detail about their upcoming nuptials (will anyone
else be up in the middle of the night watching their ceremony,
because I definitely will be). It doesn't hurt that she's been killing
the coat game lately. She stepped out yesterday in this long overcoat,
matching scarf and black wide-leg pants. Overall, completely chic
and simple.
But, I wonder... how does she take her coffee? Or does she nix
it all together opting for tea instead? Any insight into this would
be much appreciated.

Something about the cold weather makes me want to stay
cozy in oversized sweaters, faux fur jackets, comfy sweatpants,
and Uggs. However, sometimes you have to step out in public
and you need to look slightly presentable. That's the great thing
about winter... a great coat can make an outfit (and cover whatever
you're wearing underneath). While I wish I looked like this on a daily
basis, leggings, my favorite t-shirt and a great coat is basically my winter
uniform.

This arctic air isn't lending itself to mini skirts, but the
pop of color is welcomed during the dreary month of
January. I love the color combination of a bright pink
and tan. Bundle up.... it's cold!

Hall of Mirrors
I'm thrilled to finally release this fabulous lady as a print!
She was inspired by a Versailles-type setting, the most epic
evening gown and coordinating fur mixed with chandeliers
that dreams are made of. All in all, I'd say she's a must...

2 Easy Holiday Cocktails
'Tis the season for eating, drinking and being merry!
Today we're bringing you two of the easiest cocktails that will surely make a splash
with your guests. Whether you're the host or simply being a gracious guest by not showing
up empty handed, these are two cocktails you'll want to have in your arsenal. Seriously,
they're are so easy (translation: they take about 5 minutes to throw together and have about
4 ingredients total).
They pass the taste test, the time test, and most importantly, the short list of ingredients
test. I have been wanting an excuse to use my fresh rosemary plant, and both of these
cocktails called for a garnish of rosemary!
I came across the first one while flipping through the Favorite Things issue of the O Mag.
Oprah always seems to kill it at all things Christmas, let's be serious. The only thing that
takes a little planning is freezing ice cubes in advance. They are what takes this one to the
ultra fancy (looking) Christmas punch level. I halfed the recipe below to simply make one
pitcher full.
pitcher: World Market | champagne flutes: World Market | tray: West Elm | "Eloise" notecards
2 bottles Prosecco (chilled)
3 C white cranberry juice (or white grape juice)
20 drops Angostura bitters
1 C fresh cranberries
Rosemary sprigs (for garnish)
In each section of a large ice cube tray, place a few cranberries and a cluster of rosemary leaves.
Fill with water and freeze about 6 hours or overnight. In a punch bowl, combine Prosecco, juice,
and bitters. Add prepared ice cubes and additional fresh cranberries to bowl just before guests arrive, and serve.

The next one popped up on my instagram feed as a sponsored ad and instantly grabbed
my attention. It screams cold weather with hints of maple syrup, a splash of something
sweet in the grapefruit juice and a Christmasy touch of rosemary as a finishing touch.

4 parts Vodka (Grey Goose)
1 part organic maple syrup
5 parts freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice
1 pinch of sale
1 sprig of rosemary
Add the maple syrup, a pinch of salt, and a sprig of rosemary to a glass. Mash
the rosemary to combine the flavors. Top with the vodka and fresh grapefruit juice.
Serve over ice.

No matter what your skiing destination is, you need to see these Chanel skis. Having broken a binding or two trying to keep up with my brother for most of my life, these beauties would not be for me. They sure are pretty, though!

Apres Ski
Who doesn't want to be on the slopes right now?? I know I do. While I won't be heading out west this year for a ski trip, I will be heading that way over Memorial Day and I can't wait! I'm opting for a summer trip in the mountains instead.
