The Duchess of Sussex, aka Meghan Markle, continues to dazzle me

with her understated but standout fashion choices. She stepped out this 

week in a pastel pink trench vest/dress that was every bit of classic

perfection. It was a timeless choice that made waves and had every girl (myself

included) googling "trench vest" looking for a suitable alternative to hers

by Nonie (see it here). The Duke & Duchess were paying a visit to an exhibit

honoring Nelson Mandela (see more about their visit here). What did you

Meghan & the Queen

Just a casual train ride and outing with the Queen. Can you

imagine if this was your new normal? Meghan Markle is handling

the transition effortlessly if you ask me. Her wardrobe is adjusting

quite well, too. She emerged in another stunning Givenchy ensemble.

History has been made! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

tied the knot (as if you weren't aware), and the wedding was

everything I had hoped for and more. Tons of friends and family

members were asking me what I thought of the event and dress

itself, and my thoughts are exactly this: it was perfect. The dress

was understated, classic but modern, chic and regal. The elaborate

veil was the statement maker that gave us this moment. 

Every detail was perfectly executed and every guest was smartly

dressed (Amal Clooney being the standout). What I wouldn't give

to have pictures from the reception(s)! Read all about the top secret

late party here. When Meghan stepped out in her second dress, a high-

neck gown by Stella McCartney, I gasped again. Not only was the simple

gown perfectly suited for her body and style, she was wearing an aquamarine

from Princess Diana's collection. It was another perfectly measured and 

executed move.

As I mentioned earlier, Amal Clooney (also in Stella McCartney) took

my breath away. What a refreshing choice...

As if the thoroughly modern American princess and Prince Harry

Beatrice Bex

Leading up to the big day Saturday, let's talk about the guest list.

While we don't know exactly who is invited, we can assume these

two will be in attendance again. Victoria Beckham's navy blue 

ensemble made me gasp at William & Kate's wedding. So simple.

So chic. So her. Princess Beatrice, on the other hand, stepped out

in something more eye-catching for good or bad reasons. My initial

reaction was something along the lines of that's interesting mixed 

with a little bit of what was she thinking. However, over the course

of the two hour wedding, I found my eyes going straight to her. I

became more and more obsessed to the point where, other than Pippa,

Princess Beatrice's look was my favorite. 

Who are you most excited to see on Saturday? While the invitation

clearly states that the attire is "Uniform, Morning Coat or Lounge

Suit", there are sure to be some statement headpieces.

The countdown continues... I think I've successfully watched every

tv special about Harry & Meghan up to this point. Anyone know of any

Royal Wedding

We're finally on the home stretch... the Royal Wedding is THIS

WEEK! I can hardly contain my excitement. I'm royally obsessed

and will be one of those that's up in the middle of the night to watch

all the coverage (starting at 3am CST). Who's getting up early to 

watch? With the digital world we live in, there will instantly be pictures

available, but I want to see it live. 

Now, it's time to jet off to London (I wish!)...

Derby Hats

May is my absolute favorite month of the year. The weather isn't

smolderingly hot yet, the bugs aren't swarming around, there are

so many fun gatherings, and it's the month of my birthday... so much

to celebrate! Not to mention how gorgeously green everything is

right now before it starts drying out over the summer. This month is

only sweetened by fun horse racing events where hats are a must, and

this year, the Royal Wedding where a great headpiece is what makes

the outfit. Counting down the days to May 19th!

With the news of the third royal baby being born this morning, I've

been glued to the live feed waiting for William & Kate to emerge from

the hospital with the new baby in tow. Anybody else watching?

Suits

Is anyone else fascinated by Meghan Markle and Prince

Harry? Fascinated might be too strong of a word.... interested

is more like it. I'm interested in everything they do, everything

she wears, every detail about their upcoming nuptials (will anyone

else be up in the middle of the night watching their ceremony, 

because I definitely will be). It doesn't hurt that she's been killing

the coat game lately. She stepped out yesterday in this long overcoat,

matching scarf and black wide-leg pants. Overall, completely chic

and simple. 

But, I wonder... how does she take her coffee? Or does she nix

it all together opting for tea instead? Any insight into this would

be much appreciated.

Ms. Markle

Pretty as a princess she is. Who else is super excited for

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? I love all things pertaining

to the Royal Family, so this was such a welcomed surprise

yesterday morning. And, of course, we're all dying to have

that coat. It's sold out, as expected, but rest easy... I found
