for your big date. While this cute girl breaks pretty much all of

the guidelines laid out in the article, she's the epitome of Valentine's

Day chic if you ask me. Outfit goals, right?

First Daughter

I couldn't get over not only Melania Trump's inauguration look, but

also Ivanka's. Again, let's set politics aside for a moment and appreciate

fashion at it's finest through the designs of Ralph Lauren (creator of Melania's

powder blue look), and Oscar de la Renta, the designer behind Ivanka's asymmetrical

pant suit. I illustrated the former First Daughters four years ago (here), so it's only 

fitting to include our newest First Daughter and First Granddaughter...

FLOTUS

This is not about politics. It's about fashion. 

Setting our political views aside, can we talk about how stunning 

Melania Trump looked in this powder blue suit by Ralph Lauren? 

It was everything I was hoping for and more. I was left with so many 

questions, though. Like what was in the Tiffany's box she presented to 

Michelle Obama?

When she got in the "Beast" for the first time (the presidential limo), 

she applied lipgloss. Where was she hiding this gloss? What brand was it? 

And lastly, after hours of sitting at tea/coffee, lunch, the inauguration, etc. 

how did she NOT have any wrinkles in her dress? We'll never know...

To be fair, the illustration I did of the former First Daughters Sasha and Malia

Even though it's January, it's felt more like April lately. Crop tops

are totally acceptable, right? 

I can't help but think this girl looks like Danielle from this season

of The Bachelor, who I'm a fan of. I hope she sticks around!

The most effortlessly stunning bride in the most picturesque garden

setting made for the perfect inspiration. The dress, the flowers, the

venue.... the entire event was perfection. Congrats to Ellen + Paul!

Rodan + Fields

A loyal follower recently introduced me to Rodan + Fields, and I have to say,

I'm already hooked. I have been using the Reverse system to hopefully reverse the 

sun damage (from college tanning bed days, eek!). I have seen slight results and can't

wait to keep using it to see how my skin will change.

Dana

New year, new you, right? 

I loved working with Dana on her custom illustration. She's a barre enthusiast /

nutritionist by trade with a killer home office. We wanted her clients to see her 

branding and think of feeling comfortable and at home in her office. 

I'm sure she would recommend that I hit the gym more often than I do! 

We created the artwork in layers so she has the flexibility to use it with or

without the kitchen background.

2017 Golden Globes

While red carpets are a designer's showcase, we can pick up on what will be big
in the coming months. Last night's Golden Globes ushered in a new wave of trends.
The up-dos were tighter, the necklines were plunging, the slits were thigh-high, elegant
black bows made the perfect finishing touch, the colors were soft and pretty.... overall,
every look was feminine and ladylike to it's core. Gone are the deep, bold hues and
structure from fall. Here come the lighter days of spring. 

A few of my favorites were Mandy Moore in a cape like dark number,
Priyanka Chopra in this embellished gold gown (I also have major hair envy),
and Octavia Spencer making a tuxedo look oh-so-elegant. 

I loved how both Michelle Williams and Sienna Miller's added a little
black bow. 

Winner Tracee Ellis Ross killed it in this heavily embellished
shorter gown. 

But Kristen Bell was the belle of the ball. She killed it at the Emmy's, and after last
night I'm wanting to make a hair appointment asap. Hair goals. Body goals. Goals in
general. 

Headstand

After a couple days on the slopes, it's time to stretch it out with some morning
yoga. Let's face it, I'm the girl in the front. The instructor says, option to rise into
your headstand or stay put and I'm like, I'm going to stay here. Who's with me holding
strong in lotus? Namaste...
