Summer Sunday
Can we all rejoice that wide leg pants are not only the best thing
ever, but they're now the biggest trend of the summer? Can I get
an amen?
I found this cute pair at Nordstrom and have lived in them since
I purchased them. They're super lightweight and pair well with heels
or flats. Are they cropped? They look that way on the model, but with
my short legs, they hit at about my ankle (I'm 5'7" for reference). I'm
embracing the in between length...

There's been an emerging trend this season of really sculptural
pieces, especially in accessories. They almost look like art with
their modern shapes, clean lines, and interesting textures. At
times, I've looked at pieces and had to ask exactly what it is.
Cult Gaia is championing this trend with their super artistic

May Market
Today is the "last day of spring".... or so they say. It's felt like
summer for weeks now with the high temperatures and even more
miserably high humidity. One positive thing the thick air brings
is luscious fruit and veggies! Everything is at its ripest. The colors
at the farmers markets are vibrant. The flavors are just as good.

Summer Selects
The temperatures are blazing hot and the humidity certainly
feels like it's at an all-time high. It can only mean one thing...
summer is here! While we're still a few weeks away from the
official first day of summer, it's time to get the bathing suits out,
transition to a summer bag, and make sunscreen your first priority
each morning (this SPF from Juice Beauty is my new favorite). I
put together an edited list of pieces you need to get through the
next few months that includes a transitional tote, a one-piece bathing
suit (thank heavens they're becoming the trend and not just the comfy
option), a statement earring, an easy white dress and two shoe options:
a fringy flat and a go-to platform.
One thing I tried to keep in mind when gathering my summer selects was
the slower pace of the new season. Kick back and relax. Don't overthink
it. Be comfortable and enjoy the little things that summer brings!
