What to Wear... to chill

I'm not sure if it's because I'm officially "in my 30s" or if it's
because loungewear has become it's own category on most retailer's
websites, but it's time to step up my lounge game. There are too many
good options to say no. Even places like Target have increased the size
of the pajama/loungewear department. It's time, y'all... it's time.

Whether you're hanging out at home alone, inviting your best girlfriends
over for the Bachelorette finale, or having a Netflix and chill night with a
significant other, throw on something comfy but cute. It's as simple as a
cute pair of track shorts, a basic white tee, and a long cardigan (something
I plan on living in this fall). Start with that combination and add your own
spin to make yourself more comfortable (I see changing out the shorts for
my old faithful high-waisted leggings when the temps drop).

The long cardigan is something that can almost double as a robe around
the house (especially early in the morning when it's always 10 degrees
colder inside, someone explain that one to me). Here are some of my
curent favorites that are light enough to wear around the house and will
be the perfect choice when fall arrives:

I'm also positively obsessed with anything from Barefoot Dreams
including this sweatshirt. I would live in this. I also cannot curl up
on the couch without my favorite BD blanket. It's the softest thing in
the world as most of their products are, AND it's included in the
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. It's the perfect time to pick up a few
early Christmas presents if you ask me (it's available in multiple colors
here)!

T G I F

There are some weeks where Friday can't come soon enough and
this was one of those weeks! Looking forward to a weekend of
resting up, hopefully soaking in some sun, and preparing for a
busy week next week!

Sassy

TGIF! No time to siesta, let's have a fiesta! I instantly fell in
love with this festive dress when I saw it. How perfect is it for
a birthday party, Sunday brunch, graduation day, etc. etc.

Queen of Hearts

NYFW kind of came and went before my eyes. I was lightly
paying attention but still have yet to pour through the images
for next season. One that caught my eye was J.Crew, this look
specifically. They always seem to capture the overall trends for
the next season, so it's kind of a one-stop destination for inspiration.

Off the shoulder: still a thing. A flirty and feminine skirt: always a do.
Pair all of the above with a strappy shoe in a fun color and you get this...

Paper London

While I've never been an avid fan of pink and red (especially together) or
Valentine's Day in general, I'm going all out this year. I can't stop with the
festive decor (and candy) in my home; I can't stop posting pink and red flirty
illustrations (see our Valentine's-inspired print shop which will be up through
Feb. 14); I have plans made for the 14th with even better plans on the 16th with
my best gals... it's a fun time to just enjoy and spread the love. Why not? Our
world could use a little more love, a little less hate.

All that to say, when I saw this Paper London dress, I saw an illustration come to
life before my eyes. Paired with a lower block heel (which is shaping up to be the
shoe of spring), it's Vday approved...
