If you aren't wearing a pencil skirt, make it a midi skirt (hits slightly below the knee) and bonus points if it's pleated! As shown in this pin, the new length is longer and more lady-like. Store those micro-minis for another season.

I love love love this look. Try it in a lighter chiffon while it's still warm... a much better option for this transitional period compared to leather. I have visions of me in a leather skirt sweating so bad I can't pull it up circa Ross-from-Friends, the episode where he wears leather pants. Omg.
