Bats & Harrow
It's unseasonably warm in Nashville which has me wanting to wear shorts. I'm going to spare the world a shot of my pasty white legs, but I love this downplayed look for a day like today, Halloween Eve.
Why I love it...
-First of all, the bat sweatshirt is simply fantastic. No further explanation needed (also available as a tshirt here).
-Secondly, who doesn't love a good pair of cutoffs?
-Thirdly, the 3.1 Phillip Lim bag in a darker blue plays well with the denim. A great investment piece if I do say so myself.
-Speaking of investment pieces, let's talk about the Rag & Bone "Harrow" Booties. I have them in black (here) and I LOVE them. I wear them all the time. They were worth every penny. I've been eyeing this tan color way for some time now, but still haven't pulled the trigger. Maybe someday soon!
-And lastly, can we bring back the side-braid? I see people still trying to wear it and I slightly cringe, but it really is a great solution for a bad hair day. Fingers crossed for a braid-comeback.

Utility
Today I'm showing you MY look / what I'm wearing.
I bought this utility vest at Forever 21 about a month ago. It's, unfortunately, no longer available. But below are options for how to get the look. The only this that IS still available from my look is the jeans. They are the Urban Outfitters BDG high-rise skinny. Love them. Love the stretch. They're a great pair to add to your denim collection.

RZ2
Featuring an older design today: it's an image I worked with Neiman Marcus on for their Fashion's Night Out as they were introducing the Rachel Zoe Collection a couple years back.
I think the look is completely relevant to what's trending today with the over-the-knee boots, fur vest, and a great camel bag. Stick to the basics and you'll never make a bad investment!

Menswear
When wearing a jacket this fall, it's imperative that you just drape it over your shoulders. Don't you dare wear it like you're supposed to for warmth. Fashion no-no.
Just kidding. It was a major trend at Fashion Week last month, but let's be honest, it's not practical (inspired by this pin).
I had to pair it these Stella McCartney booties via The Outnet (also available in black).

Matching Stripes
She's heading to a striped soiree wearing the most breathtaking shoes I've ever seen. I think I'm in love.
She is wearing:
Top: Edith A. Miller
Skirt: Mother of Pearl
Shoes: L.A.M.B.

Chrissy
After spending a painful day laying in my bed waiting for the antibiotics to kick strep throat to the curb, I had plenty of time for some research! Unless you've been living under a rock, you've seen this look on Chrissy Teigen popping up all over Pinterest. The fab 3.1 Phillip Lim boots (the Ora boot), the coordinating Celine, oh and being married to John Legend.... not a bad gig. I love how unfiltered she is on social media.

Celine Me Alone
Inspired by this pin, I think everyone needs this shirt. Not to mention, I am OBSESSED with these heels from Steve Madden (via Nordstrom). I love the old t-shirt and jeans combo with more sophisticated shoes and a statement necklace (via Hogan Road).

Draped Wool
Anybody else counting down the hours to tonight's episode of Scandal? I'm so obsessed... it's sad.
Ever since I jumped on the bandwagon back in May (and watched the first 2 seasons over a long weekend) I have been in hot pursuit of a draped wool coat Olivia-Pope-style... a simple, classic wrap coat.
Of course, I want to pair it with a pair of sneakers and leather pants or waxed denim (inspired by the other Olivia.... Olivia Palermo). Stay tuned as the sneaker hunt begins. Looking for a pair with a less than Lanvin price tag.

Sky Blue
I'm bbbaaacccckkkk!
Between moving over the past two months, traveling, and getting settled I finally feel like I'm getting my head straight again!
With the ever so slightly cooler temperatures today, I all of a sudden have a craving for a chunky sky blue sweater (coming from the girl who doesn't wear blue). Throw it on with some white pants or jeans and a pair of leopard booties and it's the perfect look for right now (if it's cold where you are - it's still 75 here).

Macky
File this one under #fail. I was inspired by the Laduree stores, but the inspiration only took me so far. She was intended to be a part of the 2014 planner, but she (clearly) didn't make the cut.... I didn't even finish the cakes.
In other words, give me a macaroon....
Comment below if you would like to see her as a print.

It's a Baby Shower!
This was such a fun project to work on that I had to share. The host had a Chanel-inspired theme going that we carried through the invitations.
Congrats to the new mom!

Fall Favorites: Burberry
Wrapping up a week of some of my favorite looks from Fashion Week with this striped stunner from Burberry.
Fall Favorites: Karen Walker
This pick is a little off the wall, but I still love it. I love the socks + heels paired with shorts and a beanie. Such a fresh combination.

Fall Favorites: St. John
This look from St. John's fall collection combines so many textures in an effortless way. I love the lace, fur, and pop of leopard.... it's so good.
