let's play catch-up

The past week has been a whirlwind to say the least. I have.....

.....moved (and am still in the process of moving).....pics on that coming later.....

.....celebrated my mom's birthday.....

.....FINALLY updated my phone to the new software or whatever, which allowed me to do this.....

(so there's no confusion on who's phone it is)

.....FINALLY found a copy of the September issue of NFocus, which has the latest Wedding101 ad (page 81), as well as a 12-page spread on the fall must-haves that I assisted with.....

......I have also been sorting through the latest photos from Fashion Week for Spring '11, gathering tons of inspiration/photos/ideas/etc. that you will see soon.....

.....and lastly, I made it to the Frist Center (two days before the exhibit closed) to see the Golden Age of Couture exhibit. I must say that if you missed it, you definitely missed out. It was absolutely beautiful as were the clothes. It made me wish I lived in that era where the clothes were impeccable in every single way. The details, the shapes, the accessories, the under garments ALL made me drool. And, even though it said no photos, I couldn't resist. They are all taken on my phone so they are very blurry because I was trying to be sneaky.....

(The booklet that I was supposed to return at the end of the exhibit, yea right....I took another one so I would have two)

This dress reminded me of the one January Jones wore to the Emmy's.

I want someone to wear this to the Oscars this year:

Back in this era, they would make the clothes in a miniature version first before constructing it full size.

MY favorite part, the sketches....

Happy Thursday!

  1. I cannot tell you how thankful I am you decided to be sneaky! My schedule didn't allow me to go see the exhibit even though I was dyyyyying to see it. THANK YOU.
