Royal Wedding pt. 1

I just can't decide which one to draw, so I'll just post pictures for now. Thoughts on which one you want to see drawn?

We'll start with the guests....

Not sure about the Queen's yellow, but I am sure that her hat is terrible.

The precious little ones....

And of course the bride & groom....

Yes, her dress was stunning. It's definitely not what I expected, but very fitting for the occasion.

It looked like a movie set...

But, I really couldn't take my eyes off of Victoria Beckham (in those custom Louboutins)....

Tara & Zara....

And yes, Princess Eugenie (because her outfit was terrible), and Princess Beatrice (love it or hate it? I LOOOOVE it). It's so over the top. I die. I think the color is perfection with her hair color.

But the REAL show-stoppers, in my opinion, were Harry & Pippa....I want them to get married now.

Pippa's dress was absolute perfection. There are no words. Chelsy, who? She looks top heavy.

And, of course, we must discuss Kate's second dress, which was so much the same as the first. Once again, Pippa's dress was more note-worthy.

Kate Middleton is the picture of class, and she looked stunning today, a perfect princess. But best dressed of the day goes to little Pippa.

Royal Wedding

Off to London for the Royal Wedding.....

(inspired by editorial in Vogue)

I wish...

In honor of the royal occasion, let's look back at some of Kate's fabulous hats.

And some worn by other royals...

Rest assured that I will be up all night watching it live.

Marchesa

Last night, I had the pleasure of being backstage during the Marchesa Symphony Fashion Show. I've come to realize that I find just as much joy being backstage (bumping into the designers, trying to sneak stalker pics, touching the gorgeous clothes) as I do sitting in the audience watching the show. Georgina Chapman even helped me get my model's dress on her....I freaked a little.

We'll start with the designers....Georgina Chapman & Karen Craig (who are both stunning in person).

Other backstage shots....

Faith Hill performed, so we snuck in to see her sound check....

But the best part of the day/night was the iconic dresses they brought to show with the collection.....remember these?
(I actually had to steam Anne Hathaway's red Oscar gown....no big deal)

What about this one??

I was most excited to see this one because, if you receive In Our Shoes, you will remember that I recently illustrated this one....

If you only knew how small these dresses were in person.....gaaaaaa it was amazing.

Halle Berry can now be yours.....I'm adding her to the Print Shop. Also, we took a month off from In Our Shoes, but are planning on releasing a double issue next week so make sure you're on the list!

Runway to your way

So, there is a reason that I haven't blogged in two days....I've been cooped up in my bed recovering from food poisoning or something to that effect. Still having brief moments of nausea, I'll make this quick since I have no energy to draw.....

Snapshots from the Marc by Marc Jacobs runway.....

....can be yours for the mere price of $49.

Room is spinning, must go lay down.

Zarna's Runway

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Zarna from Zarna's Runway. Trust me when I say that she is just as fabulous in person as she is in her photos....she posted these photos yesterday and I fell in love with this outfit.

Saturdays tshirts

I recently discovered the Saturdays Surf t-shirts via J.Crew and several other sources.

They come in several different colors and will be the perfect addition to my summer wardrobe....I ordered the grey. Love it.

Steeplechase LookBook Fashion Show

As you know, I spent most of my day yesterday at the Inaugural Steeplechase LookBook Fashion Show. I also created the "LookBook girl" that was used in all the advertising and promotion for the event including a billboard! They had a photo booth setup and each picture had the logo & girl printed on it (and yes, I cropped myself out of the picture below because it's such a dreadful pic of me).

Snapshots from the event. Unfortunately, I took pictures before everything was setup, so it looks a little bare. But below are the three runways they advertised so heavily, the wardrobe and makeup buses, and the stable. Yes, the bus on the left is stuck....for the second time. A tow-truck was involved....

Inside the wardrobe bus....major chaos and claustrophobia.

Beach girls

Dreaming of sitting on a beach somewhere.....

Or shopping looking this cute in a beachy location......

Tomorrow is the first EVER Steeplechase LookBook Fashion Show. Tickets are still available, so I think you should come!
