Milano

Below are some of my favorite collections from the runways in Milan. Lots of clean lines, neutral colors with a pop of color.

fashion week Brit style

I will try to make this short and sweet, but Fashion week/month is still in progress across the pond. Here are two of my favorite collections from London.

2.26.2010

under $30

The grand finale, an outfit for under $30. Yes, it's true.....short, striped & so cheap.

[all pieces from Forever 21]

Didn't have enough $$ for a real purse, so there's only room for a credit card & lip gloss in this coin purse.

What shall I blog about next?

Happy Friday!

2.25.2010

under $50

Over-the-knee-highs are in Clueless style. From the runway,

To Gossip Girl:

The pieces:

TOTAL: $49.02
[socks & romper - Urban]
[shoes - Forever]
TOTAL: $49.57
[tank & headband - Urban]
[skirt, shoes, bracelet -
Forever]

Both looks are under $50. I already have something in store for tomorrow....how low can we go (price-wise)?

2.24.2010

under $75

A trend I noticed for fall from the runways,

G R E Y L E G S

[style.com]

So, I decided to continue with a thing I started yesterday, finding cute/trendy/fashion forward looks for a fraction of the cost of the real runway looks. Stores are switching over their merchandise from winter to spring, so there are big sales to take advantage of. This is Lacey Grey, a hodge-podge of prints, textures & trends.

AND, her complete look is under $75.

The pieces:

Urban Outfitters (tights, top, skirt)
Forever 21 (shoes, ring)

We'll see how low we can go with the price. Stay tuned.....

2.23.2010

under $100

So I just got the Victoria's Secret catalog in the mail the other day (good thing I don't have a spring break this year because the swimsuits seem to be shrinking). I usually don't find anything in there that I need other than an occasional swimsuit, but this time was different. How cute is this dress? The best part.....it's only $58.

So from here I decided to put a look together that was under $100. I had to be resourceful, especially for the shoes. But here are the other pieces I found:

And now, Ms. Cheap Chic & under $100:

Dress: $58.00
Belt: $12.99
Tank: $9.99
Shoes: $11.99
Bag: $1.50
Earrings: $3.80
Total: $98.27

[Belt & tank - Urban Outfitters]
[Shoes, bag & earrings - Forever 21]

rain or shine

Today was one of the glorious days where all I wanted to do was take a nap. It was misting rain all day while the sun beamed behind the clouds making it bright bright bright. Do I need my sunglasses or my umbrella? Such a predicament.

She has both!

so long, farewell

It's over.....for good. No more Fashion Week in Bryant Park; it's moving to a different location. Tearful moment.....

Ending on a good note, here are some of my favorite looks from today:

More trends for Fall:

SPARKLES

I originally had the next section saved as "basics", but I don't really think any of these pieces are that basic other than their color. My favorite color palette, black white & nude:

More from the front row:

I had to throw this one in there. This is as close as I will ever get to Anna Wintour. I saw somewhere that said Anna Wintour's bob is like another wonder of the world, and I totally agree. I honestly think it's a wig.
