basically a blizzard

This town shut down with 4 inches of snow, so I joined in.

Happy snow day!!

catwoman meets blair waldorf

The title speaks for itself. I was in a weird mood and wanted to try the knee socks. Seriously, I want the skirt!

The look:

Skirt, shoes, & necklace courtesy of Tory Burch, sweater & jacket courtesy of Pixie Market, sunglasses (??)....made them up. It's snowing like crazy here so it's time to go sledding!! Exactly how old am I?

Cheers....

expecting

So I've officially been cooped up in my little corner/desk drawing for the past 2 weeks. I have been working on some new stuff that will be available very soon. I wanted to give you a sneak peak......

Meet "Charlotte", one of my new pregnant girls:

It's covered in watermarks because I told you it was a sneak peak. It's 3:00 am and I must get at least a little sleep. Until next time......

red hot

In another Valentine's Day mood, which is odd since it is my least favorite holiday.

I spent my morning exploring on style.com, and I found a new trend.....red legs! I do feel like you have to have a certain body type or the right outfit to pull them off, but they are still fun. I'll let you know if I invest in a pair. The biggest step I've made in the tights department is black textured. Baby steps.....

Meet "Rosa", my red-legged girl/ look of the day.

Inspiration:

It makes me want to eat a red-velvet cake. All images are found on style.com, the Mecca for runway coverage.

going on a picnic

Meet Ms. Trendy....she is wearing just about every trend from this past season all in one. From the collar-less blazer to the statement necklace, ripped jeans and over-the knee boots (with socks), she decided to pick up some wine, too! She's going on an urban picnic.

Inspiration:

Of course I had to throw in the Foley & Corinna bag. All items are available at Saks 5th Avenue.

Cheers to a dreary Sunday!

the final cut

Last illustrations from the archives....I promise. Below are the initial sketches of a collection I designed in college. The finished product is somewhere in my closet....

The ones that aren't in color didn't make the cut.

history in the making

Check this out.....another from the archives. True vintage, dated 2004, on a report card (or whatever we called them) for US history. Can't you tell how much I loved school?

Notice the good grades? That D snuck in there somehow.......oops. This is what most of my notes looked like throughout high school and college. Guess that explains the D.

Study hard!

archival

Instead of coming up with something new, I spent most of the afternoon looking back at my old sketchbooks. Look what I scrounged up.....

Notice the date? 2003......love it. I wish I owned this dress.

little miss sunshine

The outfit I wish I had so I could have worn it today (even though it's raining). I was in need of a little sunshine.....so here's to spring.

I think it is a must to own a pair of white jeans, preferably skinny (I need to find the perfect pair for the season). However, I need a little something to cover the top portion, if you know what I mean. So this blue jacket is perfect! I know it is still January, but I'm already looking ahead because it isn't cold here!! Why??? The peacock feathers in the hair channel your inner Blair Waldorf and the yellow bag adds a pop of color!

Inspiration:

Here's to the new season....that's still 4 months away.

jimmy shoos

Back from my Christmas break.....

I'm still getting use to not being in school anymore, so I took a month long Christmas break to spend time with family and re-group. It wasn't a planned break, but I found myself lacking in the motivation department. Hiatus is over.....

Lots of exciting things to come in the near future that I can't talk about yet, but stay tuned. Right now, I am watching the Golden Globes drooling over the dresses. Ruffles g a l o r e. I kind of love it. Below is one of my favorites, Drew Barrymore. I have a weird thing for the shoulder and hip bedazzles. Loves it.

Much like Rachel Zoe, I LOVE award season. I can't wait to see all the dresses. The new image on the top of the page is "Jimmy Shoos". Many many new designs will be available very soon.

Much love.
